1. MOSES1 MEARES was born Abt. 1800, and died January 22, 1855. He married LUCIA TAYLOR October 1, 1828 in Robeson County, NC, daughter of HENRY TAYLOR and JENNETT COOK. She was born June 12, 1812, and died May 13, 1898.Notes for M OSES MEARES:Many of the references to Henry 1 and 2 are derived from letters and documents supposedly discovered by Lillian Mears Graham and an un-named researcher - who authored the Lumberton Library notes - in a trunk owned by Francis Mears, then the Superintendent of the Poor Farm. Notes for L UCIA TAYLOR:According to Sam West, Lucy lived on the original Henry Taylor farm, the next farm south of Mr West's ancestor, Jacob Freeman, who's first wife was Martha Ivey and second wife was Obedience Taylor.
