Edmond Tucker Taylor took his wife, Rachel Moody Phillips, and their children to Oklahoma in the 1930's. Their children are named Audrey, Hortense, Worth, Knox and Elliott. His family continued to visit their cousins in North Carolina over the following years. Uncle Ed and Aunt Rae, as my Dad, John Marion Taylor, always referred to them, visiting in Waxhaw NC around 1939. Dad was the Waxhaw High School Vocational Agriculture and shop teacher at the time. The monument in the background marks the birthplace of Andrew Jackson.

John, Hortense, Yates and Elliott, 1951
Della and Elliott and presumably their son dated 1942 Inscribed on the back: "To my favorite Taylor Cousin Captain J. M. - Hortense Taylor August 29, 1943" At that time John Marion Taylor was an Army Air Corps Captain deployed overseas. And later years: Inscribed on the back: "Jul 22-84 Worth, Audrey, Knox, Hortense and Yates Children of Ed and Rachel Taylor Elliot had passed away July 16-84"
Help me with this one: My mother, Mary Taylor is on the left. The photo was taken on John and Mary's farm between Rockingham and Ellerbe, NC and stamped with the old familiar "Jack Rabbit Co. Spartanburg, SC, May 1979" imprint. I was told the folks on the right were from Oklahoma, but I am not certain of their identities.
An aside - For many years Jack Rabbit was the principal photo finisher of choice in the Carolinas. One final unknown - this is suspected to be Ed and Rachel's children, but unconfirmed.
